Hidden features in OS 3.0
Besides for all of the features listed in the keynote and on Apple.com, there are many other features to 3.0 that were never announced.
The number of home screens has been changed for 9 to 11. This is a great increase in the storage of apps. Also, there is pretty much unlimited app downloading. Apps that don’t fit into the 11 pages will show up under the spotlight search.
If while using an app it was interupted by a phone call, once it is hung up the phone will return back to the app.
You can now make multiple calendars.
While waiting for an SMS message to send, you can type another one.
In your settings there is now a button called “Store”. This shows your iTunes account information. Also at the bottom of the app store it will show your account name.

3.0 Overview
The new OS 3.0
3.0 Update June 17th
The date is nearing. 3.0 will be released with on June 17th, just days before the release of the new iPhone 3G S. For all current iPhone users, this update will be free. For iPod Touch users, this upgrade will cost $9.95. The big updates are:
“Find my iPhone”: This is a feature for those who are subscribed to MobileMe. They will be able to track down their iPhone if it is lost. You can send alerts to the phone through the account. If the phone is never found, you can wipe all data from the phone.
MMS: Apple announced that MMS (multimedia messaging) will not be availble to customers until late summer. We don’t know why they are putting a delay on this feature but other wireless carriers have been and will be supporting MMS.
Internet Tethering: This feature allows you to use your cell phones connection to get internet on your computer. Tethering will be available via Bluetooth and USB.
