Navigon releases first Mobile navigator on App Store

While TomTom was the first company to anounce a mobile navigation software for the iPhone, Navigon is now the first company to release one. On the App Store it is called MobileNavigator Europe. It is very pricey and currently only in Europe. The App uses the popular NAVTEQ maps which is capable of being loaded into storage memory so that it doesn’t need any data connection. Mobile Navigator will have 2D and 3D maps, automatic portrait and landscape modes, speed assistant, a “take-me-home” function, voice navigation, and the ability to pause during calls.
